  6.    A new virus has been reported at a leading company in Atlanta.  The
  7.    virus contains the string 'Screaming Fist II', presumably this is
  8.    the handle of the author (?).  A 711 byte virus "Screaming Fist" was
  9.    reported in Virus Bulletin March 1992, named 'SCREAMER'.

  11.    Symptoms are not yet completely known, but machine does hang.

  13.    VIRUS NAME: 'Screaming Fist II'
  14.          TYPE: Variable Encrypted
  15.       INFECTS: EXE, COM, including COMMAND.COM
  16.        ORIGIN: Unknown
  17.      COMMENTS: A sample arrived at Leprechaun Software's Labs yesterday
  18.           and has been partially disassembled.  The virus goes TSR and
  19.           infects files as they are opened.  COM infections always grow
  20.           693 bytes while EXE's grow 693 to 1172 bytes (seems like
  21.           larger EXE's grow more, might be a trivial attempt to disguise
  22.           infection's trail).

  42.    Last week we reported a new virus found in Atlanta.  The virus contains
  43.    the string "Screaming Fist II", presumably this is the handle of the
  44.    author (?).  A 711 byte virus "Screaming Fist" was also reported in Virus
  45.    Bulletin March 1992, named "SCREAMER".

  47.    A third virus (or version?) of Screaming Fist II has been identified and
  48.    is guaranteed to be in the wild.  It appears to be a completely different
  49.    virus with the same string embedded "Screaming Fist II".  This newly
  50.    discovered virus is Multi-Partite, meaning it infects "boot sectors" and
  51.    "program files" (EXE, COMs, etc.).

  53.    Additionally, by observing the advanced programing techniques used
  54.    in all three of these viruses, it appears they all may be a product of an
  55.    underground hacker group.  According to analysts at Leprechaun
  56.    Software, the code seems to fit the concept of shared techniques.

  77.    Michelangelo virus.  Two infected machines were in different areas of
  78.    the company.  All machines were cleaned before March 6th this year.

  98.        ORIGIN: Unknown
  99.      COMMENTS: Hooks interrupt 21. Infected files grow 1,577 and 1,591
  100.        bytes.  There are at least 3 known variants.

  107.    The "FORM" virus is going to become more prevalent.  A company reports
  108.    today that it may have accidentally distributed a large number of
  109.    diskettes to it's clients.  Since the master disk is clean, the
  110.    duplication service or the diskette provider probably passed it along.
